About Talixo:

The Talixo taxi and limousine booking platform optimizes both ordering and ride execution using the intelligent adoption of established solutions from the airline industry. Our focus is on the efficient organization of passenger transport through better route planning and capacity utilization. We're based in two offices - Kraków (IT, Operations, HR, Business) and Berlin (Fleet, Finance, and Sales).

About the role:

We’re looking for an experienced Python engineer, keen on being a tech leader. You will be involved in building new Talixo subproducts, extending functionalities, maintaining operational continuity, and scaling our system. We are looking to expand, and so we expect you to be open to supporting other team members, sharing your knowledge with them, and growing into a mentor role within the team.

What will you do:

• write clean, reusable, and efficient code covered by unit tests
• discuss and design system architecture
• monitor performance and maintain the system
• tackle system scalability challenges
• integrate external services 
• work with sensitive components, such as payment processing modules
• support other engineers with your knowledge and experience
• conduct code reviews
• provide key feedback in the product specification process
• suggest enhancements to the workflow process that improve team productivity and facilitate codebase maintenance

Who you are:

• at least 5 years of experience working with Django
• good knowledge of Python
• knowledge of DevOps tasks (AWS tools, nginx, Docker, CI/CD)
• familiar with PostgreSQL
• familiar with the Git version control system
• able to communicate in both Polish and English
• team player with an analytical approach and attention to detail
• It would be great if you live in Kraków or surrounding areas!

Bonus points for:

• familiarity with Terraform
• familiarity with React

3. 90-minute video call with Mateusz, Head of IT  + 2nd interviewer
