Opis pracy

The salary ranges for this position are:

MID 12 800PLN - 17 600PLN in gross terms

Senior 16 900PLN - 23 200PLN in gross terms

Allegro's development teams consist of over 900 IT specialists of various specializations who develop our website. The unique scale and complexity of the problems we solve every day give us the opportunity to develop a wide variety of projects. In Allegro we create mobile applications, we build tools for listing, presenting and searching offers, we develop elements related to the purchasing process, payments, billing and commissions, or sending and tracking shipments. We design tools for content and ad management, and for analytics we create and maintain data structures that provide information support for business teams.

We are looking for people who:

• Are very familiar with Kotlin and have experience in the Android ecosystem
• Strive to achieve top quality and neatness of the code (familiarity with Clean Architecture will be an asset)
• Are open-minded, curious, and do not hesitate to ask questions (our work is about more than just writing code - consultations and searching for alternative solutions are all part of our daily responsibilities)
• Think outside the box and have a broad perspective on what they do
• Know English at B2 level

Why should you work with us?

• About 90% of the code in the project is written in Kotlin, the rest is in Java (new code is always in Kotlin). In the project, amongst many others, there are technologies such as RxJava, Jetpack, Coroutine/Flow, Koin, and Koin Multiplatform. In some tasks, we use our internal tool MBox (controlled by the backend), which enables us to create a coherent graphic interface for iOS and Android
• The IT team is made up of over 1700 members who have shared their knowledge at multiple conferences, and co-create a blog: allegro.tech
• Microservices – a few thousand microservices and 1.8m+ rps on our business data bus
• Big Data – several petabytes of data and Machine Learning used in production
• We practice Code Review, Continuous Integration, Scrum/Kanban, Domain Driven Design, Test Driven Development, Pair Programming, depending on the team
• Our internal ecosystem is based on self-service and widely used tools, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Consul, GitHub or GitHub Actions. This will allow you, from day one, to develop software using any language, architecture and scale, restricted only by your creativity and imagination. 
• To match the scale, we also focus on building entire Platforms of tools and technologies that accelerate and facilitate day-to-day development, and we ensure the best Developer Experience to our teams
• Technological autonomy: you get to choose which technology solves the problem at hand (no need for management’s consent). You are responsible for what you create
