About the project 

You will become part of a brand-new team developing data-products that will provide personalized snippets of insights for our users. We have a lot of data, based on which we can generate useful unique insights helping our sales teams to pitch to customers, enabling companies to better promote their job adverts and allowing job seekers to discover information that will impact their job seeking journey. The goal is to enhance the user experience and thus extend Customer Satisfaction & Lifetime Value. 

The team will be composed of 3 data engineers and one data scientist and is part of a larger Data as a Service portfolio. You will also be part of a Data Engineering chapter where over 40 professionals regularly share knowledge and define best practices for the domain. 

All our services are based on AWS cloud using the services and technologies available there. As a Big Data Developer / Data Engineer, you will be part of a chapter supporting your technical development.

Your responsibilities 

• You will develop end-to-end data-products and maintain them. 
• You will analyze available data and create data pipelines 
• You will design real-time/batch/serverless processes on AWS 
• You will improve existing products 
• You will closely cooperate with other Big Data Developers, DevOps, Data Scientists and Product Owner 

Our requirements 

• Willingness to work with the data and to develop skills in Big Data area using various technologies and AWS cloud 
• Coding skills and experience with one of the languages: Java, Scala, Python 
• Practical knowledge of Apache Spark / PySpark 
• Familiar with REST API 
• Good communication skills in both spoken and written English (B2+) 

Nice to have: 

• Professional experience in one of the areas: Big Data, Data Warehouse, ETL 
• Experience with AWS (Glue, Lambda, EMR, ECS (Docker), Redshift, DynamoDB, …) 
• AWS Certificate 
• Knowledge about Infrastructure as a Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation) 
• Practical knowledge of Elastic Search
